The new and OPEN Dual 970MP/CPC945 Game Platform!
We have just finished the development of the next generation Dual970 based workstation. This machine will have development tools that include compilers for CELL. We will release binaries that will provide 3D graphics support for all our Power Architecture based platforms, including this one. We will even support other Power.org Member platforms.
We will target all next generation consoles and bring open source and closed source developers and software to create a new publishing environment. For example, we will bring back an Amiga-compatible platform - fall seven times, stand up eight. Could we call it an Atari? What a combination that would be! Especially, if it could run Solaris too. It all depends on the firmware.
Everything (as in everything) will be released through Power.org - schematics, gerber files, the bill of materials, all the supporting tools, software, etc. etc. The fun is just about to begin!
