Ciao a tutti!

Ho una scheda video S3 Unichrome di VIA e vorrei sapere come devo impostarla.

In vesa mi parte direttamente a 1600x1200 ma vedo solo una parte dello schermo, cambiando risoluzione editando il file di grub non si vede nulla

Al limite volevo chiedere se posso importare il file di configurazione " xorg.conf " compilato per questa scheda su Ubuntu.

Aros non usa ' xorg.conf non puoi utilizzarlo.
Prova ad avviarlo come vga normale.

Bene, allora fai così. Avvia Icaros a 1600x1200, apri una shell con rAmiga+W, scrivi

edit sys:boot/grub/grub.cfg

copia tutta la parte dedicata al modeline VESA 800x600 e incollala subito dopo (va da una parentesi graffa all'altra, ovviamente, ed è composta da due o tre linee)

al posto di VESA=800x600@60 mettici VESA=1024x768@60, sostituisci anche il nome del modeline da "Icaros Desktop (VESA legacy 800x600)" in "Linea personale" così la riconosci.

salva, esci e riavvia

Se tutto è andato bene, troverai un'opzione in più al riavvio. Usala et voilà.

Per qualche motivo, su alcuni computer premere E all'avvio e Ctrl+X dopo aver editato il menu on the fly, purtroppo, non funziona. AROS non completa il boot. Ma cambiando le cose a sistema avviato, invece, tutto torna a funzionare. Misteri dei computer...

Bene, allora fai così. Avvia Icaros a 1600x1200, apri una shell con rAmiga+W, scrivi

L'ho messo per chi a differenza mia lo sa interpretare e dirmi cosa c'è che va o non va e nel qualcaso possa modificare qualche parametro consigliandomi come procedere.

E' incredibile che tu abbia risolto levando l'@60. Ho dovuto mettercelo perché troppa gente si lamentava che il proprio monitor non beccava le frequenze di default in uscita da AROS, in modalità VESA. Comunque sia meglio così! L'importante è che tu riesca finalmente a usare il sistema operativo.

E' incredibile che tu abbia risolto levando l'@60. Ho dovuto mettercelo perché troppa gente si lamentava che il proprio monitor non beccava le frequenze di default in uscita da AROS, in modalità VESA. Comunque sia meglio così! L'importante è che tu riesca finalmente a usare il sistema operativo.

" Usarlo " è un parolone... Monta una scheda ethernet scandalosa, una VT6102 [Rhine-II] che sia coi driver suoi che con quelli aggiornati quando faccio partire OWB si inchioda tutto... Riesco solo a fare i ping da shell. Volevo provare il vecchio Origyn Web Browser ma non riesco a farlo partire mi dice che manca qualcosa a livello di librerie suppongo... :/

A paolone si può accedere a server ftp da shell su Aros come su win e linux ? Ciao ;)
