Quello che ho sempre detto e continuo a scrivere anche nei confronti di quelli che hanno definito una Sam un router o che AmigaOS 4 è scarso...
Purtroppo continuo a notare che la gente scrive sulla base di (bho?) , io prima di giudicare devo possedere , provare , testare e spremere l'hardware.
Oggi con un benchmark ad esempio che testa anche il SIMD il vecchio PowerMac 4xG5 2.5ghz (2005) (4 thread) ha massacrato il più recente I7 (8 thread) (2010) su un punto del benchmark cosa che comprova che l'architettura PowerPc se fosse stata utilizzata in larga scala oggi avrebbe dato grosse gatte da pelare agli x86
Se facciamo un calcolo "alla amicizia" moltiplicando i core del G5 a 8 e alzando il cloccaggio a 2.93 si denoterà che il divario diventerebbe quasi nullo e dobbiamo sempre tener conto che stiamo scrivendo di una cpu vecchia del 2004 (il G5)
